DESCRIPTION

Participatory study for strategic interventions in the G. Dimitrov neighborhood for the improvement of the system / network of collective spaces

Executive Component (Maputo)

• Research, analysis and base diagnosis of the Collective Space System (CSSs) of the district George Dimitrov.

• Participatory formulation of strategic interventions through the CSSs, based on the Right to the City and Perspective of Gender, with prior training of technical teams, local leaders and women's groups.

• Executive technical design of interventions, with monitoring and partial assessments of the local partners and actors involved.

Component of Training / Awareness / Dissemination in the academic world, including future Owners of Responsibilities and Obligations, both from the South and the North

• Specialized degree and master classes (Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona): Production of sub-Saharan cities and the Right to the City, through the SECs: 6 representative cases of Maputo

• Eduardo Mondlane University seminar (Maputo): The Right to the City through strategic, participatory and gender-sensitive interventions through the Collective Space System: the case of George Dimitrov.

• Conference, exhibitions and dissemination through networks for the university community (Maputo, Barcelona), about the realities of sub-Saharan cities, the Right to the City through the Collective Space System, and the process and project of Strategic, Participatory interventions from the Gender Perspective in the George Dimitrov neighborhood.

Conclusive Component (Maputo)

• Presentation and transfer of database and project to the Local Institutions, to The Duty-Holders and responsibility-holders linked to the project, and to the Rights-holders of George Dimitrov

• Participatory evaluation of the process, methodology and results as a replicable project
